How to recover from drop in Google SERPS after hosting issue?

+2 votes
I own a site that receives a good amount of traffic daily & my hosting service(hostgator) had to kick my site off because it was using too many resources on the shared hosting server. After I got my site back up many of my pages dropped in google.
My question is:
Is there any way to recover in the SERPS after this issue?
This has happened once before w/ no negative effect on my SERPs, but I believe b/c I took a little bit longer to get it back up my site this time it took a hit in the SERPS.

In my similar experiences, Google will pick your content back up and index it using the same or similar criteria as before. So if they feel you had a legitimate ranking before, they will most likely get you back up there again. Not sure about the time table. That will depend on how they handle "recognizing" your content. If they see it as totally new content, it could take quite while. If they see it as content that was here, gone for a while and now back. They might move you up faster. " My question is: Is there any way to recover in the SERPS after this issue? " So in short, the answer is Yes.

I sure hope you're right.  It's only been about 2 days since I recovered the site and the traffic isn't what it used to be.  Hopefully, my pages get moved back up in the SERPs and google is treating it as new content.
Looks like you were right - my traffic is slowly increasing daily to the pre-hosting shutdown era.  Thanks.
