Why is Google Showing My Site in Hong Kong Search Results?

0 votes
Just curious, I noticed that a few of my pages on my brand new niche site are showing up in the Google Hong Kong search results. Is this normal for a new site to show up in non-american search results before the regular google search?

Are you located in Hong Kong?

Anyway, I don't think there is anything abnormal here. Most probably, your pages are already in the US search results, just that they are not ranking highly yet, but happens to rank in HK.

Because they CAN! <G> It must be common because sometimes when I launch a new site the first visitors are from foreign lands.

I'm not sure how this works, I recently noticed that an old site of mine was receiving an extra few hundred visitors every day which I had no idea about. After checking analytics it turned out I was ranking highly for a very competitive English keyword... In the Chinese search engine Baidu. No idea how or why though!
