Is there still a sustainable business in Internet marketing?

I reckon that 'make money online' and weight loss/supplements will always be with us, but what about other areas? Can a micro business be built that is profitable and successful enough to support a family in the long term, say 10-20 years?

I'm convinced that the best course is to do product reviews with bonuses of new products that have residual income. The review needs to be good quality. For example here's one I have for SendReach .

What's Hot And Trending In Internet Marketing?

  1. SendReach - The new demographic
  2. Synnd - Going viral with social
  3. Post Magic - Making Facebook Your Capture
  4. Big Value Depot - Use your iPhone to list your products....more
  5. 5 Minute Mogul - Earn as you
  6. Guest Blogging Community - more

Like you said, diet niche and MMO will always be strong, and always be very competitive. Other evergreen niches off the top of my head are almost every health sub niche (which could easily be supporting you a decade from now still), relationship niche and dating.

I think being an Amazon affiliate is also a sustainable business model for decades to come. Selling Kindle books and physical products on Amazon is also worth considering.

I confess that I have been wondering whether, for many niches, where the products are info products whether Amazon will replace affiliate sales through marketplaces such as ClickBank. Whither dog training systems or juicing ebooks. ;)

I guess any niche related to products or services that arouse interest of people during next 10 or 20 years are good niches.

I'm not sure if MMO will be a great niche during 10-20 years, but I'm sure that many people will need "credit", "loan" and "insurance", for example. BUT those niches are more and more competitive, so you need:

  • Find micro niches not so competitive;
  • Create something really different and useful.

There will always be niche businesses that are doing well. I guess it just depends on how much value you are providing and how good your marketing is.
